Philosophy of Flowers: 
99% Wild Lilac, copper-distilled from six wild-foraged heirloom cultivars
with gathered Honeysuckle, quietly preserved in early spring, and a whisper of blooming Lavender.
 
The Formula:
Gathered by hand from six lilac varieties blooming across the forgotten edges of old hedgerows, streams and meadows, this hydrosol captures the fleeting, fragrant spirit of spring in the ancient lakeplain valleys of our Great Lakes region. Shades ranged from milk-white to soft blush, dusty lavender, and deepest plum—each inflorescence offering its own aromatic signature, from green and nectar-bright to floral and powdery soft. 
 
This is a pure lilac distillate, softened with just a trace of wild honeysuckle and a few presses of aged lavender—enough to round the bloom’s richness and bring dimension to the scent, without obscuring its heart. The result is a hydrosol that feels both ethereal and grounded: floral but never overwhelming, whispering of damp earth, sun-warmed petals, and cool May mornings.
 
Lilac hydrosol is a delicate and ephemeral distillate, gathered from fresh spring blooms at their most fragrant and vibrant. Steam-distilled in micro batches, this nectar captures the subtle intelligence of the lilac flower—cooling, balancing, and deeply soothing to the skin.
 
It lends a quiet sense of equilibrium to the complexion, supporting the skin’s natural rhythms during times of transition—be it seasonal, hormonal, or emotional. Lilac has an affinity for skin that feels reactive, congested, or overstimulated, yet its gentle nature makes it well suited to all skin types, including sensitive and mature.
 
This hydrosol can be used to soften and smoothe the complexion, restore a feeling of freshness after cleansing, or offer a dewy, breathable layer of nutrient-dense hydration throughout the day. With each mist, it invites the nervous system to slow down and return to center—anchoring the skin and spirit in equal measure.
 
The Ritual:
Apply generously onto freshly cleansed skin to hydrate, tone, and prepare the complexion for our nutritive facial serums and balms. Reapply throughout the day to refresh the skin, seal in moisture with a light, breathable veil, or to envelop the body in a soft, aromatic layer.
 
The Formulary:
Lilac is almost impossible to capture in perfume. Its aroma, so vivid in bloom, resists most forms of modern extraction. Only enfleurage—a painstaking method of pressing fresh petals into layers of fat to absorb their scent, an ancient technique used before the advent of solvents or synthetics, has historically been able to hold a trace of this flower. But even this is faint.
 
It is through distillation, however, that lilac can be reawakened. When approached with care and reverence, a copper still can draw out the deeper layers of this plant’s soul, turning fragrance into something living, dynamic, and profoundly moving.
 
Slowly crafted by hand in our historic atelier,
