Labrador Leaf Reserve Botanical Creme Cleansing Bar

110g

The Formula:

Labrador Leaf Reserve is a supportive, pH-balanced crème complexion cleansing bar crafted exclusively for our atelier by our artisanal master soap maker.

Superfatted with layered oils and butters, it is imbibed with mineral seaweeds, an aged linden blossom honey reserve, coastal Labrador tea, and heirloom marshmallow root - each chosen for its nutritional complexity, rarity of origin, and deep affinity with the skin.

At its heart lies a rare, raw linden blossom honey harvested in finite quantity and aged in reserve for this project. Raw and open-pollinated, this honey is unpasteurized and rich in bioavailable minerals including potassium, magnesium, and zinc, alongside enzymes, amino acids, and natural antioxidants. It acts as a humectant, drawing water into the skin, while supporting microbiome resilience and cellular vitality.

Mineral seaweeds gathered by our hands from the cold coastal Nova Scotian tides impart a wealth of trace elements - iodine, calcium, iron, and silica, as well as sulfated polysaccharides that fortify the skin barrier and replenish hydration. Their marine nutrition helps regulate the skin’s mineral balance, calming inflammation and replenishing stressed or depleted tissue.

Coastal Labrador tea, carefully foraged by our atelier from Newfoundland's marshlands and mossy understory, offers a unique antioxidant profile rich in arbutin, tannins, and rare flavonoids. Long used in northern herbal traditions, it lends resilience against oxidative stress and supports even tone, while calming reactive complexions.

Heirloom Marshmallow root, tenderly stone-ground to preserve its full mucilage content, provides a gel-like matrix of soothing polysaccharides. These compounds form a breathable film across the skin, reducing transepidermal water loss and easing visible irritation, while its flavonoid content gently supports regeneration.

Each bar is wrapped by hand in archival paper, preserving the integrity of this small-batch creation.

Active Botanicals:

Aged Linden Blossom Honey Reserve (Tilia cordata)
A raw, mineral-rich honey aged exclusively for this project. Contains potassium, magnesium, zinc, amino acids, and active enzymes that feed the skin while hydrating deeply. A rare humectant that strengthens the microbiome and promotes luminous, resilient skin.

Mineral Seaweeds (Chondrus crispus & Palmaria palmata)
Cold-water Irish moss and dulse provide a concentrated source of iodine, calcium, iron, silica, and trace elements. Their sulfated polysaccharides reinforce skin barrier function, balance hydration, and help soothe inflammatory responses while feeding the skin with marine nutrition.

Coastal Labrador Tea (Ledum groenlandicum)
Wild-harvested in Newfoundland's marshlands, this evergreen leaf contains unique polyphenols, arbutin, tannins, and flavonoids. A powerful antioxidant and skin-soothing ally that helps reduce oxidative stress, calm reactivity, and support an even, brightened complexion.

Heirloom Marshmallow Root (Althaea officinalis)
Stone-ground to retain its mucilage, rich in hydrating polysaccharides and bioflavonoids. Forms a soothing gel that binds moisture to the skin, reduces redness, and supports calm, supple, and nourished tissue.

Biodynamic Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides)
Grown on the Atlantic coast by our grassroots biodynamic cultivator, this vivid orange berry is one of nature’s densest skin foods. Brimming with omega-3, 6, 7, and 9 fatty acids, alongside carotenoids, tocopherols, and vitamin C, it strengthens the skin’s barrier, encourages repair, and restores elasticity. Its mineral and phytonutrient profile helps improve tone while shielding against oxidative stress.

Fermented Honeybalm (Melissa officinalis)
Thoughtfully gathered from our stone cottage garden and slowly fermented to enhance bioavailability, this lemon-scented leaf carries rosmarinic acid, triterpenes, and polyphenols that calm and protect reactive skin. Fermentation deepens its enzymatic activity, releasing compounds that support barrier balance, resilience, and gentle cellular renewal while imparting a quiet botanical vitality.

The Ritual:

Lather between wet palms, then massage gently. Let the rich crème lather rest against the skin before rinsing, allowing botanicals to hydrate and replenish. Follow with hydrating essence and serums to complete the ritual.

Use Labrador Leaf Reserve as a nourishing facial and body cleanser or as a gentle shaving bar. The crème lather cushions the skin with mineral seaweeds, marshmallow mucilage, and reserve linden honey, cleansing without depletion and leaving the complexion calm, supple, and fortified.

Available as a pre-order, shipping within 14 days. Each bar arrives tenderly wrapped in archival paper, a gesture of preservation and reverence.
