Verre de Mer Mineral Bathing Salts

Verre de Mer

Bathing Minerals

16oz

Verre de Mer (sea glass) began as a study in coastlines and mineral water, shaped from glacial silt, wild clay, ocean salt, and coastal plant matter gathered slowly and with care.

Garden herbs were fermented, tinctured, and distilled at their seasonal peak until the composition found its balance between sea and shoreline garden: green, resinous, mineral-rich, and softly windswept.

When scattered into warm bathwater, Verre de Mer dissolves into a deeply atmospheric immersion. The water becomes silken and clouded with mineral clay and ocean botanicals, carrying the faint scent of salt air drifting through evergreen boughs and crushed herbs warmed beneath the hands.

Long before modern remedies, the sea offered ceremony. Wild salt, oceanic flora, and the restorative ritual of bathing in mineral-rich waters formed some of the earliest traditions of bodily care and renewal.

In the stillroom, we return often to this elemental ritual.

Verre de Mer was composed to evoke the feeling of emerging from cold coastal water wrapped in linen and sunlight, skin lightly salted, lungs filled with conifer and thyme carried inland from the shore.

Olfactory Composition

Top Notes

Silver Fir and Spearmint open with a cool aromatic brightness, recalling sea wind moving through evergreen branches and garden mint crushed between fingertips.

Heart Notes

Myrtle Leaf and Wild Thyme Distillate create an herbaceous mineral heart, green and resinous with the subtle sharpness of coastal flora growing against stone and salt.

Base Notes

Frankincense Resin, Angelica Root, Juniper Berry, and Balsam Fir settle softly into the bathwater, grounding the composition in damp forest floor, mineral clay, and weathered driftwood warmed by the sun.

Mineral Profile

Wild Coastal Sea Salt, glacial clay, oceanic algae, spirulina, and hand-fractured sugar kelp work together to soften the skin while offering a deeply grounding bathing ritual rich in trace minerals and marine botanicals.

To use: Scatter a generous handful into warm running water and allow the minerals, salts, and botanicals to dissolve fully before entering the bath.

We recognize the stolen land on which our stillroom resides as the traditional territory of the Attawandaron, the Huron Wendat Nation, and the Grand River Métis Council.

We will forever hold space for our deepest gratitude and appreciation of the Indigenous peoples who have worked and lived on this sacred ground since time immortal.
